Catalogue Note

This piece is a unique piece produced in a rare partnership between Bill Amberg and André Dubreuil when designing the interiors of a West London house. It has been illustrated in a number of magazines such as House & Garden, as well as appearing in Terence Conran, New House Book: The Complete Guide to Home Design, New York, 1994, p.135. Known for his clothing and accesories in leather, Amberg also produces furniture and interiors by commission and the current lot is one of the earliest examples. For examples of similar supports by Dubreuil see: J. Gaillemin, André Dubreuil, Poet of Iron, Paris, 2006, p. 45 and p.83.
