Churchill loathed the design of this loving cup, as a result of which almost all were destroyed. Approximately three survived, one of which was sold in an Applied Arts and Doulton Sale in our Chester rooms on 4 October 1989, lot 1782 (sold for £16,500). Another example was sold at Sotheby's in New Bond Street, Political Memorabilia, 15th July 1998, lot 17.
