Friedrich was also German Emperor and reigned only 98 days before succumbing to throat cancer
Catalogue Note
In 1858 he married Victoria (1840-1901), Princess royal of Great Britain and Ireland, the daugter of Queen Victoria. In 1861, on the death of his uncle Friedrich Wilhelm IV he became Crown Prince. When his father died in 1888, he ascended the throne as Emperor Friedrich III. Howerer, he suffered from throat cancer and was only able to reign for ninety-nine days.
