Martin Delaporte, received Master in 1740, died in 1756. He belonged to a family which worked for Louis XIV at Versailles. Compiègne Martin Delaporte an atelier de menuiserie en meubles at the Rue des Filles-Dieu Saint Sauveur in Paris. He specialised in seat furniture.

Examples signed by Delaporte have been sold in 'Of Royal and Noble Descent', Amsterdam, 16 and 17 October 2001, as lot 290.
