Condition

Circa 1850. Field possibly the center of a larger carpet. Colors overall brighter and rosier than in illustration. Fabric backed. Partially oxidized browns in border. Slits at color changes with some restitched, particularly in central medallion. Two small, approximately 1in. by 2in., reweaves in border. Approximately 2in. torn area in central cartouche by left side - recommend securing. Small reweaves in upper left corner of field. Tinting to blue central field. Will enhance with cleaning and restroation. Attractive overall design and colors.
