A side chair (from a set of twenty-two) with identical backrest and stamped by Henri Jacob, is illustrated, P. Kjellberg, Le Mobilier Français du XVIII Siècle, Paris, 2002, p. 479, fig. b. A similar set of sixteen chairs also attributed to Jacob from the collection of Lily and Edmond J. Safra sold, Sotheby's, New York, November 4, 2005, lot 300.
