Catalogue Note
"After nearly ten years of exploring abstraction combined with elements from early Chinese art, I felt I was ready to create something new in the most important Chinese painting theme: landscape. Not just landscapes, but monumental landscapes like those done during the Northern Song dynasty. I want my paintings to feel contemporary.... I think being contemporary means communicating your spirit...and being true to yourself and your time."
