10¾-inch dial with chrub and leaf spandrels signed Robert Pattison, Greenwich, matted centre with seconds dial, engraved calendar aperture, ringed winding holes and well-pierced hands, the latched movement with ring turned knopped pillars,  bell striking with inside count wheel, the case with domed caddy cresting above a moulded cornice and repoussé brass fret, brass-capped hood pilasters and inlaid trailing flowers around the door, the trunk door with brass lenticle and decorated with three shaped panels of bird and flower marquetry on an ebony ground, the plinth similarly decorated

Robert Pattison was apprenticed to Thomas Tompion for seven years from 1676.
