12-inch dial with cherub, crown and sceptre spandrels, signed Jno.Barnet, London, matted centre with engraved calendar aperture, seconds dial, ringed winding holes and replaced hands, the half-hour striking movement with ring-turned knopped pillars and inside countwheel, the case with domed caddy cresting and giltwood finials above a double frieze fret, hood pilasters, rectangular trunk door inset with a lenticle and stepped plinth, the whole decorated with gilt chinoiseries on a dark green ground
