An ormolu, bronze and porcelain mantel clock in gothic style, French, circa 1840

4¼-inch `rose window' dial with enamel numeral plaques and trefoil hands, bell striking silk suspension movement signed for Schuller A Paris, the case with pointed gables on all sides divided by crocketted finials, the front similarly signed and inset with a large porcelain plaque painted after Raphael with a depiction of the  Madonna with Jesus and St John the Baptist within a pierced gothic mask, the corners with crisply cast spiral pilasters, similarly decorated sides and raised on a stepped plinth applied with a pierced gothic frieze
