Catalogue Note

Rolex introduced their first 'Cosmograph' in 1960. The model soon became the famed 'Daytona', named after the Daytona Beach racing track in Florida. Represented by several different reference numbers, the Rolex 'Daytona' has become one of the most iconic sporting watches of all time. Paul Newman's patronage of an exotic dialled 'Daytona' has not only lent such dials his name, but has itself become the most coveted of all the 'Daytona' styles.
