square 16.5-cm brass dial with foliate engraved matted centre and ringed winding holes, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, foliate pierced blued hands, strike/silent lever above XII flanked by the signature Jonathan Lowndes and Pall Mall below, apertures for date and mock pendulum, gilt cherub spandrels, fusee movement with five ring turned knopped pillars and verge escapement, pull wind quarter repeating on six bells and rack hour striking on a single bell, foliate engraved apron and backplate signed Jonathan Lowndes Pall Mall London, moulded ebonized case with dome top surmounted by a gilt brass handle and a foliate pierced mount, moulded glazed door with foliate pierced fret, glazed sides and backdoor, moulded plinth raised on flat feet
