Description

gilt full plate verge movement, fusee and chain, pierced and engraved balance bridge, dial with relief scene of a man and a woman raising a glass, instruments and a cannon, small white enamel chapter dial, Arabic numerals, outer minute ring, circular case with shaped band.
Catalogue Note
Accompanied by a small note dated 19th June 1815, stating that Mr. Reynell, colonel of the 71 regiment of the English infantry, who was injured on his foot - presumably in the Battle of Waterloo - and treated in Nivelles, gave this watch as a souvenir.
