18-cm enamel dial with Arabic numerals signed in blue F. Faucon A Paris, outer date numerals and inner day/daysign marking, foliate pierced and engraved gilt hands and sweep seconds, movement signed A. Fauconnet A Paris with pinwheel escapement mounted at the backplate, pierced star countwheel striking on a bell, heavy gridiron pendulum with separate knife-edge suspension and beat adjustment to the crutch, moulded ormolu case with stepped top and acanthus relief moulded glass panels, moulded plinth with further acanthus relief and matted panels raised on bracket feet
