10.5-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals signed Cardinaux à Paris, Breguet hands, countwheel bell striking anchor movement with silk suspended pendulum, stepped ormolu case with applied cockerel mount surmounted by books, flanked by a classical lady holding a paper scroll, rectangular base with a classical high relief depicting a genus and venus studying, the whole raised on engraved bun feet, bronzework of good quality
