36-cm brass dial, silvered engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals signed N. Wyland Amsterdam, subsidiaries for seconds, speelen/ niet speelen and tune selection, apertures for date, day, and moonphase in the arch, painted spandrels and a Bacchanal in the arch, foliate pierced blued hands, substantial three train anchor movement with trip repeating rack Dutch striking on two bells, playing one of twelve melodies with twenty hammers on fifteen bells, burr walnut case surmounted by a gild wood Chronos, Nike and Mercury, pierced front and side frets, break arch door with brass capped side pilasters, canted trunk, long shaped door with chequered inlaid banding and brass lenticle, bombed base with further chequered inlaid banding, moulded plinth raised on flat bun feet, altered
