A good and attractive French Louis XV ormolu sculptural quarter repeating 'cartel d'alcove' timepiece, Gudin, circa 1750

15-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer five minute marking signed Gudin A Paris, fine foliate pierced and engraved hands, flat bottomed movement with verge escapement and silk suspended pendulum, pull quarter repeating on a bell, fine ormolu case surmounted by a genus sitting between scrolling flowers, further scrolls to the engraved trellis sides with flower garlands, the glazed lenticle above a scolled base with trellis and further flowers
