A French Louis XVI ormolu sculptural musical mantel clock, Dautel A Paris, circa 1770

10.5-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer five minute marking signed Dautel A Paris, fine foliate pierced and engraved gilt hands, flat bottomed verge movement, silk suspended pendulum, numbered countwheel striking on a bell and tripping the fusee driven musical mechanism, 15-cm barrel playing six tunes with 20 hammers on 11 bells, in the base of the moulded ormolu case surmounted by a warrior and a harnas, rams heads on the corners raised on claw feet
