13.5-cm enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals, outer ring callibrated for minutes and half seconds, gilt centre with moonphase signed Fochon A Nantes, Breguet hands and sweep seconds, enamel subsidiaries below for date and day, movement marked B.P.& E. 200 with pinwheel escapement mounted on the backplate, gridiron pendulum and beat adjustment to the crutch, connected to the calendar work, countwheel striking on a bell, bronze and ormolu case with moulded stepped top surmounted by a globe fitted in a gimbal adorned with the signs of the Zodiac, the dial flanked by columns with composite capitals, stepped base with acanthus relief plinth raised on claw feet
