movement with platform cylinder escapement and countwheel striking on a bell marked for Japy&Cie and Dufaud, driving the two horizontal enamel chapter rings across a fixed pointer, fitted in an urn shaped marble case surmounted by a foliate finial, carried by three arched hoofed supports crowned by female masks, concave arched triangular base signed Thiébaut Frères, Fumière & Gavignot Srs Paris with foliate relief raised on canelled tapered feet, bronzework of good quality
