An attractive French Directoire ormolu sculptural mantel clock, circa 1800

11-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and gilt five minute marks, gilt fleur-de-lis hands, flat bottomed countwheel bell striking anchor movement with silk suspended pendulum, ormolu case with griffin relief surmounted by a seated lady looking into the mirror held by Cupid on a cloud, flanked by a table and a stool, oval break front plinth with a relief of playing putti and applied foliate mounts raised on ball and claw feet
