28-cm square matted brass dial, engraved chapter ring signed Harper London, foliate pierced hands and subsidiary seconds, strike/silent lever near III and pierced cherub spandrels, substantial three train movement with anchor escapement, trip repeating quarter chiming on eight bells and hour striking on a single bell, mahogany veneered case with moulded broken pediment surmounted by a brass finial, cross banding throughout and with shell inlay to hood, trunk and base, fluted brass capped columns flanking the glazed door, scale frets to the sides, long rectangular door and moulded base with recessed moulded panel, raised on a shaped plinth
