38-cm brass dial with matted centre, silvered engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals, signature plate bearing the signature Paulus Bramer Amsteldam, foliate pierced hands, subsidiaries for speelen/niet speelen and tune selection, aperture for painted day-sign and day, moonphase in the arch within a perpetual calendar, foliate pierced spandrels, substantial nine pillar three train anchor movement with rack striking on a bell, playing one of twelve melodies with thirty hammers on fifteen bells or at will, burr walnut veneered case with shaped top, carved moulded corniche with foliate ornament above pierced front and side frets with half columns, canted trunk with carved shell ornament, long shaped door with chequered inlaid banding and Father Time lenticle, moulded base with curbed knees raised on claw feet, case in distressed condition, altered, Atlas and angels lacking
