35-cm brass dial with engraved border, engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals bearing the signature Otto van Meurs Amsterdam, subsidiary seconds and apertures for date, day, month and moonphase in the arch, gilt rococo spandrels and foliate pierced hands, movement with anchor escapement and trip repeating rack Dutch quarter striking on two bells, burr walnut case with shaped hood surmounted by a gilt wood atlas, moulded corniche with a carved ornament above foliate pierced front and side frets, break arch door with brass capped columns, canted trunk, long shaped door with chequered inlaid banding and Father Time lentice, bombed base with canted corners and similar inlay raised on claw feet
