15-cm velvet covered dial, engraved silver chapter ring with Roman numerals, brass hour hand with alarm disc and subsidiary for minutes below, cherub spandrels, brass posted verge movement in a wooden 'birdcage' frame with well turned pillars, Dutch countwheel striking on two bells, passing strike for the quarters, alarm on the large bell, Y-spoke wheels and lantern pinions, knife-edge suspended horserider pendulum, rosewood veneered case with break arch moulded gable top surmounted by an Atlas, traditional cast brass front and side frets, twisted side pillars, shaped back board with oval lenticle below
