Description

  • Carlo Giuliano
Of openwork gold, set in the center with a cushion-shaped sapphire flanked by two diamonds within a scrollwork frame decorated with black and white piqué enamel, size 8, signed C.G.  With original gilt-embossed leather box  signed C. Giuliano.

Catalogue Note

Rings by Giuliano are extremely rare. Only two other examples of this quality are known, set with a ruby and a tourmaline respectively, illustrated by Geoffrey C. Munn, Castellani and Giuliano, Revivalist Jewellers of the 19th Century, pl. 161.
