Renaissance-revival gold and enamel gem-set pendant, Carlo Giuliano, 1874-1895

The openwork lozenge-shaped plaque decorated in a geometric-style floral pattern of blue, white and black enamel, accented with numerous pearls and oval cabochon rubies, the reverse decorated blue and white and rose enamel in a similar design, signed C.G. With original gilt-embossed leather case signed C. Giuliano. 

The fitted case for this lot was made by Kitts. Its unusual rhomboid shape accentuates the geometric style of the the pendant.
