Description

Supporting a detachable lozenge-shaped pendant set with old European-cut diamonds in a cruciform design, the openwork border decorated in white and black champlevé enamel, supporting a pearl drop, suspended from an eight-strand seed pearl necklace secured with gold flared plaques and openwork scrolls heightened in white and black enamel, the side mountings also set with bands of diamonds and square-cut sapphires, length 15 inches, pendant and necklace signed C.& A.G. With original gilt-embossed leather case signed C.& A. Giuliano, 48, Knightsbridge, London.

The fitted box for this lot, made by Kitts, is stamped on the silk with the name C.& A. Giuliano and the address of 115 Piccadilly, covered by a label with the later address of 48 Knightsbridge where the firm was  located from 1912 to 1914.
