The gold band engraved with flowers within lozenge frames, set with five gold rosettes decorated with filigree and granulation, signed with interlaced C's.

Catalogue Note

The prototype for the design of this tiara is a similar gold diadem with five rosettes said to be from Kameiros, Rhodes, in the British Museum. See Castellani and Italian Archaeological Jewelry, The Bard Graduate Center, New York, p. 243, fig. 9-31.
