Description

Centering a large circular amethyst surrounded by pearls within a gold openwork frame heightened in blue, black and white opaque enamel and translucent emerald green enamel, within a gold beadwork border, supporting an amethyst, pearl and enamel drop, unsigned. 

Catalogue Note

Although unsigned, the style of this pendant is closely related to the designs created in Renaissance taste by Giuliano's chief designer, Pasquale Novissimo, illustrated by  Munn, Castellani and Giuliano, Revivalist Jewellers of the 19th Century, pl. 68 and 70.
