The original watercolour, H.M.S. Herald and a feejeean canoe, 1855, 19 by 30.1 cm, and a hand-coloured lithograph, The Herald in Feejee, are in the collection of the National Library of Australia, Canberra.

The Herald in Feejee was used for the cover of composer John D. Macdonald's, The Herald Waltzes, Allan & Wigley, Sydney, between 1858 and 1861.
