According to Larry Pristo, Martelé: Gorham's Nouveau Art Silver, two versions of the R/YS bowl werre made - the first finished July 16, 1909. Called a salad bowl and at least partly gilt, it required 48 hours to make, by James Leckenby and Alexander MacBeth, then was chased for 53 hours by Emil Stursberg; the net factory price was set at $150. The second example was made in 1912 and was formed by Alfred J. Ottestad.
