Pile ranges from approximately 1/8 of an inch to low to foundation. Approximately 8in. repiled foldwear into left border. Foldwear and surface wear particularly visible in center and upper section of field. Original sides with losses to selvages. Minor partial ends with remnants of original flatwoven end finishes. Robust weave, will enhance with cleanaing.
A Hamadan carpet
circa 1900
Pile is matted down, approximately 1/8 of an inch throughout. Scattered warp ties. Reselvaged, ends original. Robust weave, good overall condition, ready for use.
