Catalogue Note
This table is the only known example of the form to be designed with two oak keys securing the hinged door, which may suggest this table is a prototypical design. Four other examples of this table model are presently known, all of which display one key at the top of the door. These examples reside in the collections of Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond; Two Red Roses Foundation, Tarpon Springs, FL; and a New York private collection.
