Directoire, circa 1795

with a rectangular bleu turquin marble top, above a frieze drawer, and a fall-front, opening to reveal a fitted interior with pigeon holes and six short drawers, above three further drawers, all inlaid with a diaper motif with butterflies and stylised foliage, flanked by freestanding fluted Corinthian columns with a shaped apron, on paw feet, the back stamped with 'BDF 63', Mr Le Baron, Coudein à secrétaire...
