Catalogue Note

Born in Essex, Crowley has become well known for his vibrant landscapes and in particular, those painted on the West coast of Ireland around Rineen. Having studied fine art at St Martin's then the Royal College of Art, Crowley taught at the British School in Rome and at Goldsmith's before becoming Head of Painting at the Royal College of Art in 1998.
