Catalogue Note

Bradley has been interested in Oriental philosophy, culture and art since he was a young boy and has travelled extensively in the Far East. Influenced by artists such as Zou Wou-Ki, Bradley was also inspired by Buddhist iconography and the present work is a rare example of his work from the 1950s when he developed the individual style that is so characteristic of his oeuvre.
