Catalogue Note

This is an original sketch for The Flower Gatherers, one of the three panels commissioned by Cunard White Star Ltd as interior decorations for their new flagship liner RMS Queen Mary in 1935. Unfortunately, the panels were never completed but they were exhibited in 1937.
