each painted on the front with an eighteenth century couple in a wooded parkland and on the reverse with a river landscape reserved within an elaborate gilt-bordered oval panel on a cobalt-blue ground, raised on circular stem, foot and gilt-metal base and mounted on either side with a gilt-metal foliate scroll handle, the covers with pseudo interlaced L's maks in blue.
