the carcass in mahogany with kingwood, satine, burr ambonya and stained fruitwood flowerhead trellis parquetry veneers, the pediment with a white and breche grise marble top, the central cupboard door opening to two shelves, fitted with a black and gold lacquer panel of two japanese Samurai in a landscape, both sides with a cupboard door with satine quarter-veneer, stamped five times FOREST on the back and bearing the inscription Henry Dasson 1876 on the left of the side gilt bronze molded border.
