Catalogue Note

The firm of Jeanselme was established in 1824 by Charles-Joseph-Marie Jeanselme and ceased trading in 1930, being under the direction of the son of the founder Charles-Henri Jeanselme (b. 1856). The firm was located at numbers 7 and 9, rue Harlay in Paris. In 1847, they purchased the workshops of the reknowned cabinetmaker firm Jacob.
