Description
- height 16 1/2 in. (42cm)
designed by Sandor Apati Abt and Lajos Mack, of slender form, the handle in the form of a naked female figure, all covered in a lustrous gold glaze shading to dark blue-green around the bulbous base, impressed model number 5986 and circular raised five towers factory mark. Minor restoration.

Catalogue Note
The present vase is believed to have been exhibited in Paris in 1900 and subsequently given by Miklos Zsolnay II as a birthday gift to his niece Elizabeth Zsolnay, who in turn gave it to her schoolfriend, Elizabeth Kanizsai-Horvath, grandmother to the present owner, on the occasion of her marriage.
