painted with a panel of two maidens, signed Wagner, reserved within a gilt and turquoise jewelled border on a cream ground patterned with roses and rose swags, shield mark in underglaze-blue, red painted decorator's mark CD, Germany, Bailey Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia retailer's mark, painted numeral 10095 and title 'Lebensreigen'.
