This work celebrates Britain's longstanding Naval supremacy in the sight of God.  In many cases the edition was divided and sold as individual portraits.
The engraver, Valentine Green had been the official Mezzotint engraver to his majesty King George III since 1775 and enjoyed considerable commercial success.
