Catalogue Note

Prince Waldemar of Prussia visited Sri Lanka, India and Nepal in 1844-1846. This work contains his diary of his travels, edited by Alexander von Humboldt, together with fine lithographed views after drawings by Prince Waldemar and maps. Most of the views are of India, Sri Lanka and the Himalayas, including hunting scenes, but there are also a views of Egypt, including Cairo and Alexandria.
