Catalogue Note

The 1949 film adaptation of Salinger's short-story 'Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut' appeared as My Foolish Heart. This version apparently caused the writer's subsequent refusal to sell the movie rights to any of his stories. It is widely believed that Salinger's will stipulates there are to be no Hollywood adaptations of his works after his death.
