Im Livre de raison ist dieses Gemälde beschrieben als nat morte, anémones rouges et violettes dans pot de grés gris violacé posé sur satin jaune font vert atelier et toile.

Stillleben übten eine besondere Faszination auf Vallotton aus und prägten sein künstlerisches Schaffen. So entstanden seit 1910 hervorragende Kompositionen von besonderem Reiz.

Vallotton was fascinated by still-lives and thus they influenced his artistic work. Since 1915 he created extraordinary compositions of a special appeal.
