Die nachfolgende Gruppe von Werken (Lose 1-47) bildet das Ergebnis einer langjährigen und intensiven Sammeltätigkeit. So ist es dem Sammler gelungen, eine beachtliche Kollektion von Schweizer Kunst zusammenzutragen, die sich durchverschiedene Schwerpunkte auszeichnet, und die Zeitspanne von der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts bis in die zweite Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts umfasst. Die Hauptgruppe besteht aus Arbeiten der berühmten Bündner Maler wie Giovanni Giacometti und Turo Pedretti sowie Gottardo Segantini und Alois Carigiet. Sotheby's freut sich, in der diesjährigen Herbstauktion wiederum mit dem Verkauf eines Teils einer Schweizer Privatsammlung betreut zu sein. From a Swiss Private Collection

The following group of paintings (lots 1-47) is the result of a long and intense art collecting. The collector succeeded in putting together a noticeable collection of Swiss art which is marked by various focal points and includes pieces from the mid 19^th century until the second half of the 20^th century. The main group of paintings is composed of works by the famous artists of the canton Grison such as Giovanni Giacometti and Turo Pedretti as well as Gottardo Segantini and Alois Carigiet. Sotheby’s is very happy to have been entrusted once again this autumn with the sale of a major part of a Swiss private collection.
