Catalogue Note

The children were the sons of Col. Sir Thomas George Fermor-Hesketh and his wife Florence Sharon. They were born in 1881 and 1883 respectively. The elder son succeeded his father and became 1st Lord Hesketh in 1935. The latter disappeared in mysterious circumstances on a journey to Ireland.
