Catalogue Note

Elisabeth-Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel married Karl VI in 1708, three years before he succeeded as Holy Roman Emperor in 1711. The child shown here may be one of their three daughters, Maria Theresia, born in 1717, Maria Anna, born in 1718, or Maria Amalie, born in 1724.
